Checkpoint & Border Control
Non-intrusive automatic detection and identification of all passengers and pedestrians at customs and border crossings. Customs agencies can supervise, monitor and control the entry of people and goods into the country, ensuring compliance with the governing foreign trade laws, and stopping the flow of dangerous materials and contraband.
Axiom Checkpoint
Fully integrated, high-traffic inspection system that combines an image-based people screening system, a multi-zone metal detector, an x-ray baggage screening equipment, a photographic camera, an iris acquisition and matching portal system, and entrance & exit turnstiles. The system can detect currency, explosives, weapons, and narcotics concealed in baggage or clothing.
Iris images obtained from the pedestrians are verified in real-time against a black list to identify those that need to be stopped or sent to secondary inspection. The system is also capable of detecting people that are not in a black list but have crossed through any checkpoint in multiple occasions over a certain period of time. This capability is very useful to detect “ant-smuggling” where the same person goes through the checkpoint several times a day with small portions of what is being smuggled.
