The USA PATRIOT Act, signed by the President of the United States in 2001, in its Title III, entitled International Money Laundering Abatement and Financial Anti-Terrorism Act of 2001, requires financial institutions to conform to a Know your customer (KYC) identification program policy in order to combat money laundering on the international stage. Global Financial Passport is based on secure and reliable forms of identification credentials issued to individuals and company officers to be used in financial institution transaction processing which goes beyond the KYC due diligence, to assist financial institutions and governments in preventing identity theft fraud, money laundering, and terrorist financing.
